- Winter Count - In February people gather for a week in the Arizona desert to learn primitive skills. Good offerings for kids too. http://backtracks.net/wintercount.html
- Rabbitstick Rendezvous - Idaho counterpart to Winter Count, in September. http://backtracks.net/Rabbitstick.html
- Buckeye Gathering - Our local California cousin of Winter Count and Rabbitstick. It's first meeting was in May 2010 and has proven to be a huge success. A week of primitive skills, crafting, hands-on learning, two meals a day, music, and evening presentations. Great community. Opportunities to network. http://buckeyegathering.net
- Acorn Gathering - on the Gaviota Coast near Santa Barbara. Very family friendly. Smaller than the others (150 people versus up to 600 people). Two meals/day, classes for a week, great community, incredible land. http://acorngathering.com
