Blacksmithing 101
Thursdays in Talent. Ages 10 and up. Enrollment Open.
Cost: $300 - $550 sliding scale* per session (Choose your fee from the suggested range)

"Learn by doing." We will make something to take home every class. Projects will build on each other and are the avenue for learning the 8 Fundamental Skills of Blacksmithing.
Level 1: Safety, running the forge, and foundational techniques. Beginning projects will build on each other and may include hooks, flint and steel striker, grilling tongs, micro swords, snakes, etc. so students develop skills step by step. Level 2 students can choose from a wider range of projects and will review techniques from a more experienced viewpoint.
Half-hour safety training and written safety test included on the first day. Parents are invited to stay on site and enjoy the land or observe class.

January to 9 through February 6 (Five Classes in a row). Note: Winter Classes move to Talent (to avoid driving in the snow).
Session 2:
February 13 through March 13 (Five Classes in a row): Talent.
Session 3:
April 3 through April 24, May 8. (5 Classes). Location: The Mountain
