About Music with Robin:
Since 2004, Robin has been mentoring and teaching youth in nature using what you might call an invisible approach to learning. This approach is based on immersion, on engaging curiosity and inspiration, and making learning playful, fun, and keeping concepts and techniques in a hands-on context. Robin uses a similar approach with music. Rather than teaching the bare concepts of intervals, harmony, and intonation, these are absorbed along the way as musicians traverse the landscape of a song, or play a game that puts it in context. Getting “good” at something doesn’t have to feel like “hard work.” The goal is to develop a well rounded musician who not only can play the ‘right notes’ but also knows how to have fun and is aware of the ‘groove'.
